Discover the Museum’s collection of arms and armor, including complete armors, swords, shields, crossbows, and equestrian equipment.
Here are some of the highlights from the tour.
· Two-Handed Sword
· Right pauldron (shoulder defense), from of a Parade Armor in the Heroic Roman Style
· Pair of Elbow Gauntlets (hand defenses)
We will meet at the Central Information Desk in the West lobby.
Please arrive at the West Entrance of the Museum, which is the side facing Boathouse Row and the Schuylkill River, not the Rocky Steps. The underground parking garage can be accessed from the same drive that the entrance is on, just look for the sign.
Both the West Entrance and the parking garage are wheelchair accessible. With validation, parking is $12 for up to 4 hours and $2 for each additional hour after that. Please bring the ticket inside the Museum to validate it for the discounted visitor rate.
Once the tour is over feel free to explore the rest of the museum. Eat at one of the Museum cafes or “Stir”, the new restaurant that just opened in October. You can also browse the Gift shop for books or souvenirs.
