WXPN Music Festival Crafts Village
Dates: July 10 - 13
Location: On the Waterfront, Camden NJ
Fee: $395
Deadline: May 23, 2008.
The XPoNential Music Festival attracted 16,000 music enthusiasts last year and we anticipate an increase in attendance this year. Past performers on the WXPN stages included Los Lonely Boys, Indigo Girls, Ricki Lee Jones, My Morning Jacket, Fountains of Wayne and many other top performers that span the genre of music played on WXPN, 88.5 FM, Philadelphia.
The Crafts Village will operate for three days from July 11 – 13. The fee for exhibiting your crafts for three days is $395 and all participants must supply their own 10' X 10' tent. Work must be original.
Please enclose your payment with your application. Payment will be deposited one week after acceptance to the Crafts Village or returned with non-acceptance letter.

wars. Iraq in particular, but your imagery can be more general. Your piece
can express any emotion, political view or subject within the theme.

Lark Books seeks images to publish in a juried collection of international studio jewelry. Each piece must prominently feature plastic. We wish to showcase a wide range of techniques—from low tech, inventive repurposing to computer assisted rapid prototyping—and diverse materials, including acrylic, latex, epoxy resin, rubber, nylon, thermoplastics, and photopolymers. Artist-in-residency Opportunities for Craft Alliance
Craft Alliance, a non-profit arts education center in St. Louis, MO that offers programs and exhibits showcasing contemporary craft art is
offering 3-, 6- or 9-month Artist-in-Residency Programs for emerging or mid-career artists
with a body of work in clay, metals or fiber at its new satellite location in Grand Center in
August 2008.
Artists will be provided with free studio space, equipped with Internet.
They will have access to new state-of-the art metals, clay, fiber, and
graphics studios and water/sink facilities. All associated utilities will be absorbed by
Craft Alliance.
Artists have the opportunity to exhibit and sell work from their studio space. Selected artists
will be compensated for classes they teach and/or may work in the exhibition gallery
as an assistant.

Scholarships from Women's Jewelry Association
The Women's Jewelry Association is committed to empowering women in the international
jewelry, watch and related businesses. To this end, WJA is offering a minimum of $25,000 in Scholarships to female students enrolled in fine jewelry and watch design courses in the
United States of America. For the first time, there are two categories: the designer category,
and the non-designer category.
The Designer category is designed for those students in a studio jewelry program who can
apply with images of finished pieces that they designed and created themselves.
The Non-Designer category is designed for those students training to be a gemologist,
jeweler, watchmaker or other job related to the jewelry and watch making industry.
You are required to provide the following to support your Scholarship
Application.
• Essay: A short essay explaining why you wish to pursue a career in jewelry or watches
and your goals/aspirations for the future.
• Images: (a) Three (3) digital images (no more) showing examples of your most recent work.
Rank them in order of the most significant. (b) Provide a brief description of each of the
numbered images indicating materials used, size of piece(s) and what is represented and/or significant about each piece.
• Completed entry form.
The Non-designer category is designed for those students training to be a gemologist, jeweler, watchmaker or other job related to the jewelry and watch making industry. Instead of applying
with images of finished pieces, this category is judged by an essay competition.
